China Offers Humanitarian Aid to Ukraine
China has offered humanitarian aid consisting of anti-biotics and medical equipment for the injured in last month's air crash in Ukraine.

Wei Jianguo, vice-minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation (MOFTEC), presented the list of goods to Ukrainian Ambassador to China Mykhailo Borysovych Reznik at Beijing Capital International Airport on Thursday morning.

The aid was subsequently transported to Kyiv, capital of Ukraine, by an Air Ukraine jet.

The aid, weighing three tons, filled 15 cubic meters of containers. It included anti-biotics, a portable X-ray machine, an electrocardiograph machine, and suturing materials.

On July 27, a SU-27 jet fighter was performing a risky maneuver at low altitude when it touched the ground, slewed into another aircraft on the tarmac and plowed into spectators at an air show in the western Ukrainian city of Lviv. A total of 85 people died and another 151 were injured.

Wei said the Chinese government and people were deeply concerned at the tragedy and the aid represented the sympathy of the Chinese people to Ukraine and the victims and their families.
