Fog Continues to Blanket Much of China
Fog will continue blanketing much of China at the weekend, hampering transport, the Chinese Central Meteorological Station said Thursday.

It warned that the fog would reduce visibility to 100 meters in the mornings in the affected areas for the next two or three days.

Those provinces where fog has been lingering include Hebei and Shaanxi in the north, Shandong in the east, Sichuan and Yunnan in the southwest, and Hunan and Hubei in central China.

The fog was caused by high humidity and little wind after large falls of rain and snow. Some places have been hit by dense fog and rime fog, meteorologists said.
