China Considers Sending Pregnant Embassy 'Trespasser' to ROK
China has told the Republic of Korea (ROK) "in unambiguous terms" that an exception could be made"on humanitarian grounds" to send a pregnant embassy "trespasser" to the ROK.

Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesman Liu Jianchao revealed this on Friday when asked by journalists for the latest progress on China-ROK negotiations over the issue of several people from the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) intruding into the ROK embassy.

Liu said China had always dealt with problems of illegal entry of DPRK citizens in accordance with relevant international and domestic laws and in a humanitarian spirit.

Learning that one of the intruders was a pregnant woman, China had made the above decision, Liu said.

The Chinese side was awaiting a reply from the ROK, Liu added.
