Black Box from Crash Recovered
Chinese salvage workers found one of the two "black boxes", or flight-data recorders, that could reveal why a China Northern Airlines passenger jet crashed on May 7 with 112 people aboard, around 15:05 Tuesday.

The airline's MD-82 passenger plane plunged into Dalian Bay at 9:40 p.m. on May 7 shortly after the pilot reported a fire in the cabin.

The jet lost contact with the ground minutes after the pilot reported the fire. The cause of the accident is being investigated.

Sources from China Northern Airlines said that there were no survivors among the 103 passengers and 9 crew aboard the ill-fated plane.
