China congratulated the German Social Democratic Party and Green Party on their victory in the federal parliamentary election on Sept. 22, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Zhang Qiyue said here Monday.
China always values and is willing to keep and develop long-term stable and friendly relations with Germany, since it not only serves the fundamental interests of the two countries and their peoples, but is conducive to world stability, peace and development.
As the two countries celebrate 30 years of diplomatic ties, the Chinese government is willing to promote bilateral and friendly cooperation with the new German government led by German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder, she said.
