An international vegetable science and technology exposition, the fourth of its kind, opened in Shouguang City in east China's Shandong Province Sunday.
The exposition was jointly sponsored by nine state institutions, including the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Commerce, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and the Shandong provincial government.
The 18-day exposition has attracted 5,000 business-people from both home and abroad, among which over 700 are from overseas.
A variety of vegetables, fruits, edible mushrooms, related agricultural technologies, intensive processing technologies, pesticides, fertilizers and agricultural equipment will be on display at the exposition.
