Tibet to Resume Tourism Activities from July
Tibet Autonomous Region will resume tourism activities from July 1, and begin to receive domestic and overseas tourists, says the regional tourism bureau.

Tibet tourism bureau halted tourism activities from April 25, but following the control of SARS, Tibet was now a safe tourism attraction.

Zhang Wansheng, director of the regional tourism bureau, said intra-regional tourism activities would resume on Saturday, and that the region would receive tourists outside Tibet from July 1.

The bureau had already taken measures to ensure tourists' safety and health in Tibet, including the introduction of health report cards, temperature checks, and the use of tourism guides who had received SARS prevention training, he said.
