China Ready to Share Anti-SARS Experience with the World
China is ready to share with other world countries experience in combating SARS, China's Vice Premier and Health Minister Wu Yi said in Bangkok, Thailand, Friday afternoon.

At a meeting with Thailand's Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra, Wu Yi said that the outbreak of SARS did have some influence on Chinese economy, but the economy has kept its fast and stable growth.

China will develop faster after the crisis and the fight against the epidemic has strengthened the coherence of the Chinese nation, she added.

Wu Yi arrived in Bangkok on Friday at the invitation of the Thai government to attend the opening ceremony of the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Health Ministers Meeting on SARS due to be held on Saturday.

Referring to the forthcoming APEC health ministers meeting on SARS, Wu said that the meeting will have significant meaning to the revival of public confidence and the sustainable growth of regional economy.

Wu thanked the Thai government for its help and understanding given to the Chinese government and people during China's fight against the killer disease.

Thaksin said that the spread of SARS and the containment of the disease have inspired the Asia Pacific region how to face the challenge posed by crisis breaking out unexpectedly under the background of increased economic globalization.

On Friday, Wu also met with Thailand's National Assembly President Uthai Pimchaichon following her meeting with Thaksin.
