Wuhan Invites International Bids for Infrastructure Projects
Central China's Wuhan City has invited domestic and overseas institutions to tender bids for three major infrastructure projects.

Wuhan, capital of Hubei Province, is a major industrial hub in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River.

The projects are a strategic plan for the development of the city's urban traffic, blueprints for three residential areas, and a general plan for the development of both banks of the Hanjiang River traversing the city.

Foreign companies that have registered in China are eligible to tender their bids, and could form a consortium if necessary, according to the city's planning bureau.

The deadline for the bidding is May 30.

In recent years, Wuhan has tabled a number of local projects for international bids, which has improved the city's technical capabilities in regard to urban planning.
