President Hu Sends Condolence
Chinese President Hu Jintao has sent condolences to Russian President Vladimir Putin over the terrorist attack in Chechnya, the foreign ministry said Wednesday.

In a message to Putin, Hu expressed his deep sorrow for the victims of the attack on behalf of the Chinese Government and people and extended his condolences through the Russian president to the families of the victims.

Hu said the Chinese Government resolutely opposes terrorism in all forms and would continue, as always, to support the Russian Government in fighting terrorist forces and maintaining national unity and territorial integrity.

The Chinese president also sent condolences Wednesday to Saudi King Fahd Ibn Abdul-Aziz over suicide bombings in the Saudi capital of Riyadh, which killed and injured many innocent people on Monday night.
