Japanese Dismissed After Giving Obscene Dances on Campus

A Japanese teacher and three Japanese students who broke school rules by giving an obscene performance on their campus were dismissed on Thursday by the university authorities in Xi'an, capital of northwest China's Shaanxi Province, sources with the provincial educational bureau said Friday.

Meanwhile, the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs has also made representations to the Japanese embassy in Beijing and urged the Japanese government to educate the Japanese students in China to abide by the laws and regulations of China and the rules of Chinese universities as well as to respect Chinese people's customs so as to avoid similar affairs happening again.

The three Japanese students and a Japanese teacher, who were studying and teaching in Northwest China University, wore red bras, hung false genitals from their waists and performed obscene dances at an evening party held by the university's foreign language school on Wednesday.

The obscene performance by the Japanese teacher and students aroused strong indignation among the students of the university, who gathered Thursday in front of the university's foreign students dormitory to demand the Japanese students apologize for their action. And some of the Chinese students also marched onto the streets to protest against the Japanese students.
