Two Chinese Citizens Killed in Senegal

Two Chinese citizens, a mother and her son, were found dead on Tuesday night in their home in Dakar, capital of Senegal.

Sun Fengzhi, in her 50s, and her 17-year-old son Wang Kun were apparently murdered, local police told Xinhua.

Police said there were signs of a struggle, with blood on the floor and wall. The apartment appeared to have been ransacked.

The exact time and cause of death had not yet been determined.

Wang Peifa, Sun's husband, became nervous during a trip to Spain when he received no answer after attempting to phone home several times. His wife and son were found dead when friends in Dakar went to check his home.

There are currently about 300 Chinese in Senegal, most of them business people.

The fate of a Chinese woman who disappeared in Senegal two years ago remains unknown.
