China Sends Condolences to Pakistan over Train Collision

President Hu Jintao on Wednesday sent a message of condolence to his Pakistani counterpart Pervez Musharraf over a train collision in southern Pakistan that killed at least 119 people.

Hu, on behalf of the Chinese people and in his own name, offered his condolences, through Musharraf, to the victims' families and the injured, and expressed deep grief for those killed in the accident.

Premier Wen Jiabao sent a message of condolence to Pakistani Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz.

Three passenger trains collided early on Wednesday near Ghotki in Pakistan's southern Sindh province, killing at least 119 people and injuring 130 others.
