Munich Flavor to China Int'l Beer Festival

The 7th China International Beer Festival will take place in Dalian, in the northeastern province of Liaoning, from July 28 to August 8.

This year's festival will introduce a Munich beer tent, furnished inside and out with characteristics of the Munich Beer Festival, including German-style wooden chairs, German cooks and German bands.

The festival has already attracted 30 international and domestic beer manufacturers, with over 100 kinds of beer.

The annual beer festival was launched in Beijing in 1999 and moved to Dalian in 2002.

Activities will include a beer culture exhibition, a beer themed tourism promotion and a beer knowledge quiz and photographic show.

Another famous Chinese beer festival, Qingdao International Beer Festival, started in 1991 in the city of east China's Shandong Province well known for its German-style beer. The local Tsingtao Brewery is the largest beer maker in the country.
