A bus carrying 25 people was swept by a landslide into the Jianxi River in Fujian Province last Thursday. Rescuers said they recovered the bodies of another four passengers in the last two days, bringing the death toll to 18.

The landslide occurred at about 11:20 AM last Thursday. It hurtled into the path of the bus, sending the bus plunging into the Jianxi River. The driver of the bus was reportedly speeding along the Nanping-Jian'ou section of the No. 205 state highway. Twenty-five people, including the driver, were on the bus when the accident happened. The driver and one passenger escaped.

Seven bodies were discovered still in the bus after it was towed out of the water on Friday afternoon.
