Traffic Accident Kills 7 in Hunan

Seven people were killed when a taxi carrying four people collided with a truck in Changde, central China's Hunan Province on Wednesday.

The two vehicles were traveling in opposite lanes separated by a greenbelt on a suburban highway at about 12:10 AM on Wednesday when the accident happened, local police said.

There were no streetlights. The vehicles collided, and the fuel tanks exploded, sending flames about eight meters high into the air, according to the police.

The vehicles were found on the greenbelt with all seven bodies burned.
