Northern Airlines Add Flight to Korean Peninsula

China Northern Airlines has decided to open one international flight and reopen another to the Korean Peninsula.

A MD90 plane will fly from Shenyang, capital city of north China's Liaoning Province, to Chongju in the Republic of Korea every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from April 10 on, an airline source said.

Meanwhile, the Beijing-Dalian-Pyongyang route, the only regular flight from Beijing to Pyongyang of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, flown by a MD82 plane every Monday and Friday, will be reopened, the source said.

The source noted that the flights are launched to meet the need of increasing tourists from China to the Korean Peninsula.
