Mitsubishi Motors Plans to Enhance Business in China

Japanese carmaker Mitsubishi Motors says it plans to enhance its business in China by raising its stake in a joint venture.

Under its revival plan, Mitsubishi intends to start selling vehicles under its own brand name by raising its stake in a joint venture in China.

Mitsubishi Motors plans to build a factory in China with local medium-sized automaker Hunan Changfeng Motor Company.

Mitsubishi Motors calls Hunan Changfeng Motor an important partner in its business in China, adding that it is studying collaboration in the future but nothing definite has been decided yet.

The Japanese firm has already invested in two engine ventures in China.
