China's first house consumption index has been issued jointly by Shanghai Evening Post, a Shanghai house sales company and a local real estate institute.

The house consumption index, composed of demand index, supply index and exchange index, will provide domestic consumers comprehensive real estate market information.

Consumers could make a relatively more accurate forecast on the market by analyzing the index.
