Securities Firms' Income Hits Peak in 16 Months

The income of securities companies surged to over 3 billion yuan (about US$370 million) in august, according to the composite value statistics, which is the highest this year as well as since may last year.

The warrants business provided a new income source of 72 million yuan (nearly US$9 million) in august. The revenue of five securities companies passed 100 million yuan (over US$12 million). The top three is Guotai Junan Securities, Galaxy Securities, and Shenyin & Wanguo Securities, the revenue of which is 198 million yuan (US$24.1 million), 196 million yuan (US$24 million) and 139 million yuan (about US$17 million) respectively.
