China to Promote Reform of Major SOEs

China will promote the reform of the major state-owned enterprises next year, said a senior official of state-owned asset watchdog Sunday.

 

Addressing a forum on the development of enterprises held Sunday, Shao Ning, deputy director of the State-owned Asset Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC), said so far, nearly 90 percent of China's state-owned enterprises carried out reform, which promoted reemployment and building of social security system.

 

Shao said China will improve rules for the reform of the state-owned enterprises, restructure the state-owned enterprises by reducing redundant employees and promote the reform of the major state-owned enterprises next year.
