Vice Minister of Commerce Yu Guangzhou Sunday explained China's trade surplus this year with "three characteristics".

As the first characteristic, Yu said China's trade surplus mainly appeared in Europe and the United States as the trade surplus is expected to exceed US$100 billion with the United States and US$63 billion with Europe.

As the second characteristic, the trade surplus also focused on the processing area with that surpassing US$125 billion so far, Yu said.

The third, Yu said that the trade surplus focused on the private-owned enterprises with that of over US$60 billion and foreign-funded companies with that of nearly US$50 billion.
