The fifth China International Equipment Manufacturing Exposition is scheduled to be held on Aug. 29 in Shenyang, capital of northeast China's Liaoning Province.

A source with the organizing committee said the five-day exposition will showcase all sorts of advanced products and techniques of equipment manufacturing, especially various kinds of machine tools.

To further display the professional and international trends of the expo, the organizing committee has prepared 2,500 exhibition booths for the companies of this field.

As of Wednesday, more than 130 companies, not only from China but also from the United States, European Union, Japan and Republic of Korea, had entered for the exposition.

About 670 enterprises attended the fourth exposition, signing contracts worth 1.1 billion U.S. dollars.
