Anti-Dumping Investigation Against Phthalic Anhydride
China will start an anti-dumping investigation against Phthalic Anhydride imported from India, Japan, and the Republic of Korea (ROK).

This was announced by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation (MOFTEC) Wednesday and became effective on the same day.

The investigation involves imported Phthalic Anhydride listed under "29173500" in the tariff listing of the General Administration of Customs.

MOFTEC and the Chinese Customs will carry out investigations into the case in line with China's rules on anti-dumping. At the same time the State Economic and Trade Commission and other authorities of the State Council will look into any damage to China's industries caused by the dumping.

The investigation is expected to end within a year, but may be extended to 18 months under special circumstances.
