Fertilizer, Oil Tariff Quotas Released
China's State Economic and Trade Commission published on Thursday the tariff quotas for chemical fertilizer and crude oil for 2002 in line with the country's pledges to the World Trade Organization.

This year's tariff quota for ammonium dibasic phosphate is 5.67 million tons. Of this, 4.82 million tons will go to State-run enterprises and 850,000 tons to non-State-run firms.

The tariff quota for compound fertilizer is 2.8 million tons, of which 2.38 million tons will go to State-run enterprises, and 420,000 to non-State-run firms.

The quota for carbamide (urea) is 1.3 million tons, of which 1.17 million tons will go to State-run enterprises, and 130,000 to non- State-run firms.

The commission also announced that the tariff quota for crude oil going to non-State-run enterprises will be 8.28 million tons this year
