Aviation Sector to Ensure Safety of Holiday Travel
More Chinese people will be traveling during the Labor Day vacation and many of these people will choose to fly, says an official with the General Administration of Civil Aviation of China (CAAC).

He says the Chinese aviation industry has pledged to arrange chartered planes according to the market demand.

He also says the number of added flights and chartered planes arranged by airlines companies totals 1,693 with 269,000 seats available. Most of the destinations are tourist cities such as Kunming, Haikou, Zhangjiajie, Guilin and Xi'an.

CAAC and local aviation bureaus have vowed to ensure flight safety for tourists during the holiday period. CAAC has ordered all departments concerned to make thorough safety examination in advance.

Police will crack down on any illegal activities near airports and maintain public order.
