Global Management Challenge Prize Awarded
The Sichuan University Milano Team became the national champions of the 2002 Global Management Challenge (GMC) in Beijing on Friday.

The team outdid more than 460 Chinese teams in the fiercely contested competition, the first round of which started in September 2002.

The winners will represent China in the international final to be held in March in the Macao Special Administrative Region.

GMC is based on a computerized business-management simulation system. Teams are regarded as separate manufacturing companies with the same business background. The contest measures a team's competence in decision-making about production, financial control, human resources, quality control, marketing and transportation.

And the team with the highest virtual share price at the end is the winner.

Zhongshan University team placed second and the University of International Business and Economics team third.
