Actual utilization of foreign investment in Shenyang increased rapidly in 2002, and realized utilization of foreign investment for 1.65 billion dollars, up 36.8 percent compared with last year.
Direct utilization of foreign investment reached 1.4 billion dollars, up 64.6 percent compared with last year.
According to statistic, now one third of revenue in Shenyang, two thirds of foreign exchange earned by foreign trade, one fourth of permanent assets investment and one third of technology rebuilding investment both came from foreign investment corporations.
Government of Shenyang confirmed year 2003 as Project Year and speedily develop the economy of the city.
