Consumer Representatives to Attend First Aviation Price Hearing
Seven Chinese consumer representatives were selected from 21 candidates Thursday to attend the first aviation price hearing.

The representatives come from different parts of China and from a variety of professions, however, they are all frequent flyers and are knowledgeable about civil aviation transportation. They all have strong research, analysis and language skills.

The hearing aims to better protect the interests of consumers, said Xu Jingsheng, deputy secretary general of the China Consumer Association.

The State Development and Reform Commission will hold a hearing in late April to debate a new reform plan for domestic aviation ticket prices.
