The sixth China Investment and Trade Fair, sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce, will open as scheduled in Xiamen, east China's Fujian Province, said the fair's organizing committee Friday.
Preparation work for the fair, which begins every year on Sept.8, will be carried out according to a detailed working plan and SARS (severe acute respiratory syndrome) is expected to present some minor hurdles only.
All the booths in the domestic exhibition halls have been booked by fair exhibitors, and some 70 booths in the overseas hall have been booked by foreign exhibitors including the governments of the United Kingdom and Canada.
