Xinjiang Reports Big Rise in Trade with Kazakhstan

Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region conducted US$1.12 billion in imports and exports with Kazakhstan from January to July this year, a 75 percent rise year-on-year, according to local customs figures.

The total included US$400 million in exports to Kazakhstan and US$720 million in imports from the bordering country.

The trade volume accounted for more than half of the total of Xinjiang's foreign trade in the seven months.

Xinjiang's trade with Kazakhstan in the seven months surpassed by a big margin that with Russia and Kyrgyzstan, said the customs.
