At a joint press conference with the Beijing Organizing Committee, McDonald's showed a video greeting from its newly signed global spokesperson, Yao Ming, who's playing for the Houston Rockets in the NBA.

The Olympic Partner hopes to use the basketball star's popularity and a nationwide fervor for the Olympics to boost its market here in China.
