Sino-Korea Trade to Top US$100 Bln by 2009

Trade between China and South Korea may exceed US$100 billion  in five years. Both sides are upbeat about the expectation after a recent ministerial meeting in Beijing.

Bilateral trade surpassed US$63 billion last year, and South Korean investment in China also neared US$20 billion.

China hopes Korean businesses will invest in its vast, less-developed western hinterland and the old industrial bases in the northeast.
