China to Draft Anti-Laundering Law

To draft an Anti-Laundering Law will be the top priority for the drafting work committee in China's top legislature the National People's Congress.

Yu Guangyuan, director of the committee says anti-laundering draft law covers many areas such as prevention, containing, inspection and cracking down the criminal activities.

He said the drafting team includes people from 17 departments such as finance, banking, law enforcement, the customs and the tax.

The team members have been to various provinces and cities to investigate and hear various comments and suggestions.

Yu Guangyuan said the current laundering crime has a narrow extend which needs to be expanded in the future anti-laundering law.
