More Foreign Investment in Media

The State Administration of Radio, Film and TV, or SARFT, says China will allow more foreign investment in the film and TV industry.

A SARFT spokesman says the administration and the Commerce Ministry have jointly issued new regulations, allowing foreign businesses to establish joint-ventures with Chinese film production companies.

The spokesman says cooperating with foreign companies will attract more money and experience to China and stimulate domestic enterprises to produce high-quality programs.
