Boy Returned to Parents

A six-year-old was returned to his parents Tuesday after he was abducted and taken to Huiyang. The trafficker, who failed to sell the boy, is in police custody.

The boy, named Song Beibei, left with the trafficker Sunday evening who promised to buy him a toy gun.

The trafficker helped the boy take a shower and put him to bed. When the boy woke up midnight and wanted to return home, the trafficker bullied him saying the boy's outraged father would break his arm. The trafficker gave the boy some sleeping medicine and took him to Huiyang in Huizhou City.

The trafficker found four possible buyers in Huiyang but failed to sell the boy because he begged every possible buyer to call his parents in Shenzhen after telling them their mobile phone numbers and the family address.

The boy burst out crying and tried to get away from the trafficker when a policeman saw them standing under shelter in a downpour. The policeman took them to a police station for questioning and found out the boy was kidnapped.

The boy was afraid to face his father but agreed to go back when the father promised never to beat him again
