The World Meteorological Organization and the International Civil Aviation Organization will hold an international seminar on aviation weather in Hong Kong on Nov. 22-25, the Hong Kong government said Tuesday.
The seminar will focus on quality management in providing meteorological services for aviation, it said in a press release.
Aviation weather services managers from about 40 countries and regions in the Asia Pacific region are expected to participate.
Choosing Hong Kong as the venue demonstrates the prominence of the Observatory's aviation weather service in the international meteorological and aviation community, the press release said, adding that the Observatory will present its experiences in running its aviation weather services, in particular, in raising service quality.
