Old Building Demolished in Shanghai

Four tower blocks making up the Siping complex in Yangpu District of Shanghai are demolished in a controlled explosion in the early morning, October 20, 2005. The 17,000-square-meter complex was dismantled to make way for the construction of an urban transit hub. More than 400 households living in this 14-story complex, the first highrise residential building constructed in Shanghai, have been relocated.
