Winners of 2nd China Int'l Press Photo Contest

 

The photo, one of the series of "Earthquake victims in Kashmir" by Paula Bronstein from Time magazine wins "Photo of the Year" at the second China International Press Photo Contest  (CHIPP), in Shenzhen City of south China's Guangdong Province on March 24, 2006. The picture was taken last October in the town of Balakot, where 90 percent of buildings were destroyed.

 

 

The photo, one of the series of "Refugee camp in Africa" by Jan Grarup-Rapho of the US, wins gold prize in Series of Spot News & General News at the second CHIPP.

 

 

The photo "Pole Vault" taken by Chinese photographer Yang Gang wins gold prize in single of Sports at the second CHIPP.

 

 

The photo "cleaned up and slowly rebuilding", one of the series of " Indonesia Tsunami" taken by John Stanmeyer-VII of the US, wins gold prize in Nature and Environmental New series.

 

 

The photo, one of the series of "Dafen oil painting village in China" taken by Yu Haibo of China, wins gold prize in Series of Arts and Entertainment News (AEN).

 

 

The photo, one of the series of "The Injured Iraqis" by James Nachtwey-VII of the US, wins the gold prize in Series of Economic, Scientific and Technical News (ESTN).
