Twenty-four Gangsters on Public Display

A relative, right, of a crime victim cries during a public display of arrested gangsters in Pingtan, in southeastern China's Fujian Province September 14. Twenty-four gangsters who were suspected of involvement in crimes including robbery, blackmail and armed assault were paraded in front of more than 1000 residents of the town, part of police efforts to showcase their successes in fighting crime.

Suspected gangsters are paraded by police.
