Tropical Storm to Hit East China Coast
Fengshen, a strong tropical cyclone, is expected to hit the coastal areas of Jiangsu and Shandong provinces, Saturday night or Sunday morning, according to an emergency warning from China's Central Meteorological Station Friday.

Originating in the northwest Pacific Ocean, Fengshen is expected to weaken as it moves northwest at about 25 kilometers per hour. It will enter the southern area of the Yellow Sea Friday afternoon and may reach Jiangsu and Shandong Saturday night or Sunday morning.

The meteorological station also forecast that the East China Sea, the Yellow Sea and the Bohai Strait as well as offshore regions of Jiangsu and Shandong will have gale force winds due to the influence of the strong tropical storm.
