Bus Collision Kills Seven in Southwest Province
Seven people were killed and 24 others injured in a bus collision Saturday night in Xingyi City, in southwest China's Guizhou Province.

The accident happened when a mini-bus carrying about 30 middle school teachers from Tonghai County of Yunnan Province collided head-on with another vehicle.

The mini-bus careened off the road and fell into a 20-meter ditch. Five people were killed instantly and 26 others injured upon impact. Two of the injured were later pronounced dead in a hospital.

The mini-bus was one of two vehicles carrying teachers from Tonghai County to a neighboring county for an educational exchange activity.
