Shenzhen Port Registers More Tourists in and out
About 10,000 tourists in some 700 groups were estimated to have left Shenzhen Port on Monday, according to Shenzhen entry-exit management division, as many people spend their Spring Festival away from home.

The number was 6,000 on Sunday with most tourists listing their destinations as the Hong Kong and Macao Special Administrative Regions, according to statistics from Shenzhen administration for entry-exit inspection and quarantine.

Meanwhile more Hong Kong and Macao residents are coming to the mainland to visit friends and relatives during the Spring Festival.

From Jan. 30 to Feb. 1, some 500,000 Hong Kong and Macao tourists entered the mainland through Luohu port in Shenzhen, a rise of 11.5 percent year on year.
