Cross-strait Voyages for Spring Festival Conclude
First voyages across the Taiwan Strait via the direct Xiamen-Jinmen and Mawei-Mazu sea routes, set up solely to help Taiwan business people working or living on the Chinese mainland get home for the Spring Festival holidays, ended on Monday.

Between Jan. 26 and Feb. 10, a total of 7,555 Taiwanese businessmen and their family members made the round trip via the established routes which opened last April, during the festival, according to officials with the Taiwan Affairs Office of Fujian province in Fuzhou Wednesday.

Apart from the Taiwan investors in Fujian province, an additional 100 Taiwanese business people living in Beijing, Shanghai and southern China's Fujian, Zhejiang, Yunnan, Hunan and Jiangsu provinces also traveled to Taiwan and back via the routes during the holidays.
