China Tops World Ranking for Number of College Students
A UNESCO report on global education has revealed that China has the largest number of college students in the world.

The report says nearly 15 million people were attending universities in China by September last year. China is followed by the United States, India, Russia and Japan.

College students in the five countries amount to nearly 55 million, accounting for half of the world's total. However, experts point out the percentage of college students in China is still low, compared to the country's huge population. They say the quality of education for postgraduate students still needs to be improved.
