Beijing Capital Airport Passes SARS Prevention Evaluation
Beijing's Capital International Airport has met all the standards set by the International Civil Aviation Organization in May to curb the spread of SARS. The Organization's evaluation team made the conclusion following an inspection tour of the airport on Sunday.

The evaluation experts said they were particularly impressed by the sophisticated detection instruments in the airport and the preventive measures taken against suspected SARS infections. They said they would recommend Beijing's practice in the use of isolation wards for suspected SARS cases.

China's civil aviation officials say the evaluation team will continue their inspection tour to the Pudong International Airport in eastern China's Shanghai and the Baiyun Airport in south China's Guangzhou. Their inspection tour is expected to finish next week.
