Five Abducted Boys Fail to Find Parents

The parents of five of the 11 abducted children who were rescued by Shenzhen police have not yet been found.

DNA tests of two boys who had been returned over the weekend failed to match the families who were thought to be their parents.

"No one matched the DNA tests after several careful laboratory checks, although many parents came to claim their kids in recent days," said Xu Yaoxiong, chief of the city's criminal department of the public security bureau.

This meant the two boys might have been abducted from other areas instead of Shenzhen, Xu said. There were now five boys who had not been able to find their parents.

But Xu said Shenzhen police would continue to search for the parents in neighboring cities by studying police reports of missing children over the past two years.
