Terracotta Warriors Start National Tour
World-known cultural relics, lifelike terracotta warriors, delicate bronze carriages and chilling weapons unearthed from west China's Shannxi Province, have arrived in Chengdu, southwest China's Sichuan Province on Friday, the beginning of a three-year national tour.

Some 120 cultural relics were chosen for the tour, including warriors, weapons, pottery, ironware and building parts.

Experts said that the exhibition includes a large colorful bronze carriage, which is the largest, most delicately decorated and sophisticatedly made bronze item in the world.

Guo Xiangdong, relic professional from the Terracotta Museum, said that this is the second time the cultural relics have been taken on tour around China. The first time was in the mid 1980s.

The relics will leave Chengdu on March 25 and be taken to 20 provincial capitals over the next three years.
