A truck collided with a sleeper double-decker on Saturday morning in Fengkai County, south China's Guangdong Province, leaving nine people dead and 32 injured.
The accident occurred at 3:00 am on the No. 321 national highway. Seven people were killed instantly and two died en route to the hospital.
Cause of the accident is still under investigation, sources said.
As the 7-day public holidays in early May approach, the provincial public security department has issued a circular urging stricter supervision over road safety.
