HK May Become Channel for Int'l Capital into Mainland
The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) may become a key pipeline for international capital into the Chinese mainland, a financial official said in Boao Saturday.

Financial Secretary Antony Leung from the HKSAR made this remark while attending the Boao Forum for Asia here in south China 's Hainan Province.

He said that the HKSAR government is consulting with related departments of the central government on technical issues, and hopes to map out specific operation rules soon.

"The discussion now under way has not met much difficulty, and the result will be announced promptly," he said.

As some domestic capital also wishes to enter the global market, Leung said, HK can be a good transit point for them too.
